GDTS optical cable features single-mode or multimode fibers housed in loose tubes made of high-modulus plastic, filled with tube filling compound for fiber protection. A central metallic strength member provides structural stability, with tubes and copper wires stranded around it to form a compact cable core. The core is filled with cable filling compound and armored with corrugated steel tapes for enhanced durability. A robust polyethylene (PE) outer sheath is extruded to complete the cable, offering excellent mechanical performance and protection in access network applications.
